Creative Community Manager – LEGO DESiGN (2022–2026)
Between 2022 and 2026, Scott served as Creative Community Manager within LEGO Design during a period of remarkable growth and transformation for the LEGO Group. This was a defining era for the organisation. LEGO DESiGN experienced an unprecedented expansion in global design talent, significantly increasing the number of designers entering the business. At the heart of this growth was the careful cultivation of culture, onboarding, and creative alignment, ensuring that new designers not only understood the LEGO System in Play, but embodied the philosophy of Learning through Play in their daily practice. Scott played a central role in shaping that journey.
He designed and curated comprehensive Welcome programmes that introduced over 359 new colleagues into LEGO DESiGN. Through mentoring initiatives, “Say Hej” sessions, and carefully orchestrated onboarding experiences, he helped foster a sense of belonging, confidence, and creative clarity during a time of rapid organisational evolution.
His work focused not only on process, but on people. Rooted in his passion for Learning through Play, Scott developed learning experiences that aimed to be both intellectually rigorous and joyfully engaging. His contributions included:
These initiatives supported designers in deepening their understanding of the LEGO creative ethos while contributing to the broader ambition of elevating the design organisation’s impact. During this period, the LEGO Group achieved extraordinary commercial success, with design excellence and meaningful play experiences at the core of its global growth.
Beyond structures and programmes, Scott’s contribution centred on community building, nurturing creative confidence, encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue, and supporting designers as they flourished both individually and collectively.
His time at LEGO Design reflects his broader philosophy: that creativity thrives where culture, care, and critical thinking intersect — and that playful learning can shape not only products, but people.

Director of Arts – Brampton Manor Academy
During his tenure as Director of Arts at Brampton Manor Academy in the London Borough of Newham, Scott led one of the most ambitious arts education transformations in the UK.
Brampton Manor is one of the largest secondary schools in the country, serving a richly diverse community within one of London’s most economically challenged boroughs. Within this context, Scott saw extraordinary potential.
When he assumed leadership of the department in 2012, the Art & Design team consisted of three teachers. Over time, he carefully recruited, mentored, and developed a dynamic team of eleven highly skilled practitioners, each encouraged to retain their individual creative voice while contributing to a unified departmental vision.
Scott fostered a culture built on:
Rather than imposing a singular approach, he coached his team to embrace individualism in their teaching practices. This empowered staff to design exciting, conceptually rich projects that challenged students to think critically, experiment boldly, and articulate their ideas with confidence.
The results were exceptional. The department consistently produced outstanding examination outcomes and, more importantly, enabled students to develop genuine creative ambition. Under Scott’s leadership, students progressed to some of the most prestigious universities in the UK, including:
Many students went on to study Fine art, Architecture, Design, and related creative disciplines, expanding access to elite creative pathways for young people from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds.
The foundations Scott established continue to shape the department today. The Art & Design faculty remains a flourishing, respected, and ambitious part of the school’s identity, with creativity embedded at its core. Scott’s work at Brampton Manor demonstrates his belief that contemporary art education, when delivered with intellectual integrity and cultural awareness, can be transformative — not only for individuals, but for entire communities.
